Welcome to The Hotspot!

Welcome to the Hotspot Community Resource Centre in Downtown Squamish! On this site you can learn more about Volunteering, Non-profit organizations in our community, youth activities, and so much more!

The Hotspot operates through a partnership of two Non-Profit Organizations: The Squamish Volunteer Centre Society and the Sea to Sky Freenet Association.

The Squamish Volunteer Centre Society.
Connects local citizens to volunteer opportunities within the community and maintains a community directory and other resources/tools to help the public become more aware of and connected to their community.

The Sea to Sky Freenet Association.
Works to bridge the digital divide by providing free/affordable access to technology, education, and online tools to individuals and non profit groups.

Squamish Common Ground Welcome Centre.

The Welcome Centre is a group of local immigrants and other interested community members working together to create a welcoming place for immigrants and newcomers. Visit and "Like" the Welcome Centre's Facebook page for more information. Squamish Common Ground Welcome Centre Facebook

Squamish Immigrant Settlement Service.

The Squamish Immigrant Settlement Service located at the Hotspot is available Thursdays and Fridays for new immigrants to Squamish who may need help finding resources and information!

Resource Centre

The Hotspot Resource Centre at 38027 Cleveland Avenue in Downtown Squamish has a 6 station computer lab, with Printing and Scanning capabilities; A Photocopier and Fax machine; Community bulletin boards; And offers one on one tutoring sessions.

Hours
The Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are currently closed Saturdays & Sundays!
